I've been waking up with headaches that disappear when I have some water. On Sunday (Day 2), I could swear my skin smelled metallic. When are you supposed to take the olive oil at night? only if you didn't have a bm during the day? I'm confused and don't want to blog soo soo publicly about this stuff. Tracey, please post some photos ofyour lunches. they look great. Also, I'm dying to quit this on Friday. Don't you want to talk me out of it?
when you soak those sunflower seeds, don't they start sprouting? it's kind of odd, but they taste great. I'm also snacking on them like I would almonds. Is that ok?
ReplyDeleteYesterday Olivia ate her entire breakfast of raw almonds and turkey before we even got to school! It was a miracle!!
Day 10 for me - woohoo!!!!
ReplyDeleteI woke up this morning and i actually felt "lighter" I'm not sure whether i have lost weight or that my system is so efficient now that it doesn't have crap clogging it up. I actually wished i had weigh myself before i started this but i didn't want this to be a weight issue i wanted it to be a healthy choice and something i was doing to preempt my, yet again, commencement of another diet.
I have been doing stations for the last two weeks and my energy is great. I haven't slowed up or anything.
Yesterday was a little weird as i forgot to have my soup and then when i had time to eat it it was 8:30 at night which would have meant i couldn't have my shake until 8:30 in the morning. This wouldn't have worked as to go and do stations without some food inside me would have been murder. So I actually didn't eat last night but went to bed with a herbal tea and tried to convince myself I wasn't hungry!!! I do not recommend this. Eat every meal as if it is your last.
I do find i am shifting my attitude towards food. As we only have one solid meal I am becoming more discriminating about what i eat. In other words, it has to give me a mouth organism or i am not happy. I LOVE the recipes. if you haven't tried the sautéed spinach with currants and almonds, rush out to the store and do it tonight - very easy and very tasty!!!
Anyway, we should keep going. Three weeks in not that long. Come on MA!!! Visualize your insides all clean and pink with good probiotics doing their stuff. Food smoothly and effortlessly sliding down your pipes!!!! Well maybe not the last bit.
I sent your a photo of my last meal MA. Maybe you can post it.
Maura: how were the soups? Did they help this week?
Snacks: raw almonds, raw veggies, another shake if things get bad.
hi guys, This is fun :) MA don't you dare give up on Friday. It takes 21 days for a habit, right? If you keep going it will get easier. The soups helped a LOT, Tracey. Thank you. But now they are gone :( I am going away on Sunday and will be off of this then but will try to eat at least on the elimination diet in PR. That's actually easy as all I eat is cornmeal cereal and rice and beans (they are not particularly veggie friendly).
ReplyDeleteI bet you have lost weight, Tracey. It would be impossible not to, I think. I am so impressed that you are working out and everything. I find I can't do much. I almost passed out at oboe practice on Saturday (but that was after a long run so maybe it was just too much).
I think the olive oil is supposed to be every night but I've not done it. Yuck. And I bet maybe metals are coming out of your skin. Your body has energy to get all the crap out now. YAY.
I think maybe just maybe we will live forever.
I took a laxative last night bc I hadn't had a bm all day. Also, I am finding that I don't need to take my pill for energy as I have WAY more than I've had in a long time, but I do need to take it for focus. Specifically for NOT watching Downton Abbey, which my God is so addictive!! I identify with all the characters, but esp. the Dowager Countess played perfectly by Maggie Smith.
ReplyDeleteMaura, I was wrong about being 14 miles from town when we went running. We were 4 miles from the intersection of the Caperton Trail and the Decker's Creek trail (at the depot). I was confused. I think it's actually called the Mon Trail out where we were. I knew it couldn't be that long, but the trail is so winding--it was probably longer than we thought. [Tracey, I took Maura to our Hamburger Hill near the bridge (where we ran when it was 17 degrees and the goat tried to eat your shoes).]
Today I had the green smoothie, and it was pretty good--none too sweet, but it tasted good. I like trying all this new food. It's am amazing world!! Tracey, did you eat the chia seeds? Isn't it funny that I thought Mountain PPL's had nothing, but now I see they'be been insiders all along. Gotta go to work!
Tracey, just think of how you're losing all that mucoid plaque right through your nose!! There are more difficult paths it could take!! I have lost 4 lbs so far--even cheating yesterday!! And my tummy has gone in, as Maura reports.
Maura, are you leaving on SAt for Arricebo? Have fun, Girl!! I know it will be work, but do get out on the beach for us!!
i want cake today - enough said
ReplyDeleteme too! I cheated with another MOJO bar. Got to get those things out of my office. also, I forgot that i had your lunch, Tracey. Will eat it tomorrow. It's such a beautiful day; let's get the kids out in the sunshine. I dont' want to work!!
ReplyDeletewell i survived today. This was the toughest day due to my cold. I figured out i usually spoil myself with food while i am ill and i crave spicy hot food ... so today was hard. I kept at it though and am now snuggled in bed. I have gone through the book again and chose two new recipes to try. Making double has worked for me as i hate to cook all the time.
ReplyDeleteMaura; good luck on your trip. you will do fine
MA: Let get together and share lunch - heehee. just don't bring your mojo bars as I am very weak right now and I may just eat them whole, wrapper and all!!!
Hi Tracey, I bet you crave spicy food so your nose'll run. it always happens to me. You are my hero.
ReplyDeleteWell, I broke protocol today, but at least I did it with a vegan sweet from the co-op. The wild thing is--I couldn't eat the whole thing! I had taken another laxative last night, and had a terrible time at 4:00 a.m. this morning. I actually threw up the water i'd drunk. It was clearly time for me to throw this thang off (or at least that part of it). I'm still going to eat the food; I'm just going to have a sweet after lunch--a vegan sweet!!! Or maybe a piece of fruit like an orange or something, but this is just too severe for me. I may go get the probiotics from Atlas Chiropractic as well. I"m not quitting; I'm just modifying. I've lost 5 lbs so I'm psyched! I'm so glad to be off coffee--that really did have me in a rat race.
Maura, you're probably packing right now. have a great time. sorry we'll miss you at the Super Bowl party. There will be a craft making party downstairs while those who want to watch the Super Bowl can do so upstairs. Get a tan, oh wait, no don't!!
maryangel: did you read the page about the elimination diet? there is a whole list of food you can have
ReplyDeletewill do. After tonight's debauch--I had Doritos, a beer, a glass of milk, a cupcake!!Ach!! But I'm noticing in one of the most embarrassing ways JUST how difficult these foods are to digest. Tomorrow a.m. I am starting over with teh blueberry smoothie. Tracey, you're way ahead--today you're on day 14, on Monday, you'll be at 15.
ReplyDeleteCan we have gluten free pasta on teh Elim Diet?
day 18 and still going strong. I notice i am very thirsty.
ReplyDeletei tried the avacodo and pineapple soup and it was surprisingly very good.
Does anyone know if there is a Clean recipe book?
I'm beginning to think about life after the cleanse, in 4 days!!!! I will have to go back and read that chapter. I was thinking of trying to stay on the elimination part of it. The only thing I really miss is my cup of tea in the afternoon when no one is about and I'm having a peice of quiet!!!
Oh well!!! I have a party on Sunday which is day 21 so I hope I don't just come crushing down and eat everything in sight
Maura, what's with the pea protein? Does it taste better than brown rice protein? I spent $165 last night at the OMG Kroger, but I have lots of things for us to get togethr & share such as...hemp milk, coconut water (very good & nothing like the stuff I made from soaking dried coconut), brown rice syrup, etc. Let's get togehter & experiment. I'll go to the Coop and get chia seeds. We should plan a CLEAN gals' Valentine's day. Praps the day AFTER the 14th, so we can recover. They're no longer recommending agave nectar. I have lost 8 lbs!! Even with cheating!!
ReplyDeletei'm up for a share. MA are you really going to do this? Just when i am coming to the end?
ReplyDeleteDay 19 and still going strong. I went to Starbucks today with Steve and the lab and i swear nothing looked good in the pastry case!! thats never happened before.
I finished the mucus stage and week three is better. I was running out of energy a bit at stations today but i did do a personal training session with Leanne on Tuesday so it was my fourth session this week. My recovery is much better though.
Any way going to read the After the Cleanse chapter this weekend.
I've lost about 7 pounds from my rough guess of my starting weight. Hope it continues as i want to be lighter when we go back to England in May.
maura: we miss you. Come back now!!!!
ReplyDeletehey Jenny is going to start the Cleanse March 1st. Lets give her loads of support.
ReplyDeleteMA can you invite her to this blog
